Fun with Ellie

Mya is getting to the point now where she gets really really bored during the day. I can't wait for preschool to start! She is always wanting friends to come over it is so fun to have Ellie our neighbor be the same age as Mya. When they play, they start out and one house and play for a little while until they get bored, then they they run over to the other house and go back and forth all day. The other day they were playing and I just thought they were so cute sitting there playing the Wii so I took some pics.

The story behind the stache

So a few people have asked if Micah is growing a mustache thanks to my post about him and the dog, and thank goodness not anymore. About three weeks before I was due with Lexie Micah randomly decided he was not going to shave his mustache until I had the baby (don't ask me why, I told him everyday how hideously unattractive I thought it was but he kept it anyway) Well, all the guys at UPS decided they were going to grow one as well, At UPS the only facial hair you're allowed to have is a mustache, so they all had this ugly facial hair that all the wives hated. Anyway, I am glad to say he shaved it the day I had the little one. Soo for all of you women out there, there are not many men who can pull of a stache so if your husband says he is going to grow one, I guarantee they will probably look hideously unattractive. (no offense to anyone who has one already, I'm sure it looks good or you wouldn't have it)

A sweet moment

On Sundays we usually go visit family and friends but today we decided to stay home and had a fun day with the kids. They wanted some popcorn and I was in the kitchen and looked over to see them sitting in front of the window watching the snow come down. It was one of those rare moments when they were being so sweet, not running around like crazy or whining or fighting over something. It was pretty cute.

I had to post this for Micah to say sorry and thank you because he is so sweet and gave Tank away for me. I tried to handle having a dog in my house but I just couldn't do it. I told Micah if Tank could live outside we could keep him but Micah felt bad for him having to live outside so we decided to give him away. Micah loved Tank and has wanted a dog forever but our house is just not big enough for us and a dog and a new baby.

Thanks Micah for understanding and giving Tank away even though it was really hard for you to do!

Lexie update

Our little Lexie has been the best baby so far, (knock on wood). She has only been waking up once a night settling down at 9:00 or 10:00 at night and sleeping until 3:00 waking up for a little snack and then goes right back to sleep until 8:00 or 9:00. Too bad my other two wake up at seven every morning. She only cries when she has a burp and other than that she seems like she is going to be a sweet little thing. (fingers crossed). I keep waiting for her to not be so easy but it hasn't happened yet. Mya and Tay have been so sweet to her, Mya really is a big help, running around getting me diapers and wipes or giving her her binkie when she cries (I love that she takes a binkie, it is a lifesaver) it is fun to see her be a little mother to her.

Crazy Quiet....For a moment

Things have been really quiet around our house this weekend. My amazing mom took Mya and Tay on Thursday. I was running on empty and in desperate need of some major rest. It has been soo nice/weird. It is so nice just being able to get up in the morning and only have to clean the house once and it stays clean ALL DAY! It is amazing! No little fingerprints, cracker crumbs, toys everywhere, Mya's little treasures strung throughout the house, and only having to get me and little Lexie ready for the day is a breeze, but man it is boring around here.
I am soo glad my mom is sweet enough to take my two crazy kids so I could recuperated but I am missing them. They come back tomorrow and I can't wait to see them. Even though it is nice to be able to sleep when the baby sleeps and not have to clean a bazillion times a day it is too quiet around here. Micah and I don't know what to do with ourselves today. We are pretty bored without the little munchkins running around. I can't wait to see them tomorrow.
Thanks mom for taking the kids. It was just what I needed to get some rest and recover from having little Lexie.

Our little Lexie

I finally got around to taking a few pictures of our sweet little one. She didn't cooperate very well but here are a few that turned out.

It's a GIRL!!

We had our baby on Friday! We even have a name for her which I was worried about because we didn't have any names picked out when we got to the hospital. We decided on Lexie Ann Young.
She is our biggest weighing 7 lbs. 10 oz. and is 20 inches long.
I am so excited to have another little girl in the family.
I started having contractions Thursday night and got to the hospital around 10:00 PM and the little one arrived Friday morning at 2:23 AM. The delivery went well and I am so glad Micah is such a great support. I wanted to cave a few times and get an epidural, but he kept on telling me I could do it so I went all natural and I am glad I did now that it is all said and done.
She has had a little problem breathing but other than that she is doing well.
I will post pictures in a few days when I feel up to taking and uploading them!

Dear Baby,

I am writing you this letter to let you know It really is okay for you to come out now I promise. I just mopped, did laundry and have a stocked fridge but you should know it doesn't last forever, a couple days tops so if you want to come home to a clean house you better come soon.

If you are worried to come out because we don't have a name picked out for you there is no need to worry, you will have a name before we leave the hospital, I promise.

I don't know if you know this, but you are growing everyday and every ounce you grow adds soo much more uncomfortableness when you move or kick me in the ribs. Don't get me wrong, I have loved being your oven, but I would also love to be able to put on my shoes again without breaking into a sweat because I can't reach my toes and be able to last more than an hour before feeling like my bladder is going to burst, and not to mention I just don't want to be huge anymore.

If you are afraid to come out because of all of the noise, crying and yelling you hear from your brother and sister everyday, don't worry, you will learn to block it out, I have. Oh and I apologize too now for what they just might do to you, like if Mya accidentally drops you or Tay smacks you on the head with a toy truck, or feeds you something you really shouldn't be eating I am so sorry. I will protect you as best as I can.

I promise I will try not to let you cry but you should know now that there may be times when I won't be able to give you my full attention. Like if Mya gets into the fingernail polish or Tay climbs up on the counter, or I really need to take two seconds to use the bathroom you'll just have to learn to be patient.

We are really excited to have you be a part of our family so I hope you decide you are ready to join us. Oh and if you want to make it soon that would be very very nice, and I would prefer it to be during the day because it is not fun to go into labor at midnight and have to be awake all night then the next day, It makes one really, really, really tired. If you do decide to come at night that is fine too I guess. Just make it quick because we all can't wait to meet you.

P.S. If you are hanging out in there just to try and teach me a lesson in patience there's no need. Something you will learn is that your older sister is THE ultimate patience tester so there is no need for you to try and compare. You can just be a sweetheart okay!

A little trickster

This baby is driving me crazy! It has been getting my hopes up every day this week only to crush them. Today was especially annoying. For the past couple nights I have been having contractions and they are pretty good ones too. They woke me up at four this morning and I was thinking it would be the big day but of course they stopped. Then in church today I had strong contractions every five to seven minutes all through Sunday school and Young Womens. I really thought I was going into labor until I got home and now they have stopped :( It must have been sitting on a hard chair for three hours and now that I am home on the soft couch the baby seems to think it no longer wants to come out.
I am not due until Wednesday so I shouldn't get my hopes up, but it would be a lot easier to be patient if I would stop having hard steady contractions every five minutes for two hours straight only for them to stop. Little stinker!

I finished Angels and Demons (which was really good by the way) and was bored so after seeing Tina's picture post it made me curious to see what picture would come up. I have two though. I wanted to see both mine and Micah's computer so I took the picture from each computer.

This picture is of our little fam and Micah's parents the day we got home from picking up Micah in Salt Lake from Iraq. That was the best day ever!

No time for blogging

SO I know all of you are just dying to know why I have not been posting lately.....just kidding. Anyway, I have been getting into this book Micah told me I had to read called Angels and Demons, it's by Dan Brown who also wrote DaVinci Code. It is really good and whenever I have free time, I sit down and read.

I don't consider myself much of a reader but lately after the whole Twilight series, I have gotten into reading again. I don't like to just find a book and start reading though, I like to read something someone has recommended. So, If any of you have any good books you are into or have read that you would suggest, let me know because I am looking for my next book.
