It finally happened

I have been waiting for this day to come for quite some time. I pretty much knew that one day Mya would cut her own hair because it seems like every kid does it. I know I did. I remember it like it was yesterday. Anyway, today was the day.

Mya was cutting paper like she always does and I went in to get Tay from his nap and the next thing I knew, she came running in in the room and her hair was cut! I was so sad :( She started crying when she saw my reaction and then came up with a brilliant idea. Her eyes lit up and she said "Mom, we can just tape it back on!" I wish it were that simple. I am going to have a fun time combing her hair and trying to make it look halfway decent. I wish hair grew back faster than it does.

Oh no! She did a doozy of a job of it, too! I was hoping it wouldn't be so bad. Poor mom. I have not enjoyed the times my girls have done it (and they've done it to each other, too).

looks like you are going to need some really cute headbands or hats! She is quite the stylist!

Oh no!! You could get some 2" wide ribbon and make some cute headbands to cover it up... I dread the day when Emily learns what scissors are. :)

oh my!! I can't believe Macee hasn't done that yet especially since she sees me cutting hair all the time. She is so cute no matter how her hair looks!!!

oh sad, i really hope gracie never does that (to herself anyway, she cut her cousin's hair and about got us kicked out of their house and banished before her mom calmed down) i am surprised she hasn't done it yet, but hopefully her determination to grow her hair out like rapunzel's will keep her from doing it. maybe you can give her a short summertime cut and blend it in.....

WOW! That's quite a chunk. I hate the haircutting. I can't tell you how many hearbreaking times that has happened with my girls. Her hair was just getting really long, too. At least it DOES grow back, even though it can feel like forever!

You could always accesorize that left ear with some fancy earings! That is so sad! Just remember that it can always be worse.... think of tayas!

I'm sorry! At least you have been expecting it to happen, then you can't be as mad right? That is one joy of boys, you can just buzz it. She's just paying you back for everything you did to your mom!!! Try not to throw a pie at her.

Wow that is a pretty big cut. I remember trying to cut myself bangs and it was no good.

Zoie cut some of her hair once, but since it's really long and she didn't cut so high, it wasn't too noticeable.
