What's Your Phobia??

I had the worst nightmare the other night (well a nightmare to me, but to some just a dumb dream), that we left our door open and when we woke up in the morning, our house was COVERED in bugs. Everything from spiders, bees, praying mantises, worms, crickets, and any other creep crawler you could think of. It was the worst dream ever! I am soo scared of bugs. Even cute little lady bugs aren't cute at all to me. I woke up screaming which scared Micah to death because he didn't know what I was screaming about. When I told him that in my dream he had a napkin full of bugs and instead of just being nice and throwing them away, he threw them at me...how mean.... he just laughed and went back to sleep. It was awful.
Micah always jokes about how I could be so afraid of bugs when I grew up in a small town where I played outside all day and was around them all of the time. And the answer is I don't know, but I would love to conquer my stupid fear because it is REALLY annoying to let something soo small that can't hurt me get the best of me.
I get all shaky and feel queasy when there is a spider or any type of creepy crawler near me. You know on talk shows where people come and try and face their fears, well I would be an extremely good candidate for one of those shows.
When Micah was in Iraq bugs became one of my major stresses in life. We have a huge problem with crickets. They are everywhere in the summer. I seriously can't kill them. If they are big and you can hear a crunch when you smash them, there is no way I can even come close to them. I am so mean that I would make Mya try and kill them for me until I got smart and got an exterminator. Wow how that made my life great! Every morning when I would walk outside and see a dozen dead crickets and spiders that were just waiting for me to open the door so they could come intrude in my house were laying there DEAD, it made my day.
Micah thought it was silly so when he got back from Iraq he canceled the bug
man :( The bug man was my favorite person :( good thing it is winter and there aren't any bugs, but when they start to come out and invade... Micah, you have big shoes to fill mister!

Random Ramblings

I first have to say how much I love love love 9:00 church. We got to switch from 1:00 on the new year and it is SOO much better. The kids are better because they aren't ready for naps, you don't have to wait around all day to go to church and when you get home, kids are ready for naps and you still have a lot of your day left. Anyway, it is kind of sad because Mya is growing up. She started going to sunbeams and it is so WEIRD to drop her off and see her sitting in her little chair in her class. She is growing way too fast and it is kind of sad :(
She has said some funny things lately and since I don't keep a journal and if I were to write them down on a piece of paper somewhere I know it would end up getting lost at some point. So, I am going to blog about it so sorry if you don't want to read about my kids, just skip this post.

The other day she hit her leg on something and it was really hurting her and I thought her response was cute about it.

Mya: Mom, my leg is soo grouchy
Me: Why?
Mya: Because I got a owie and my owie is grouchy

Mya wouldn't mind me so I took away her blanket and if you know her and her blanket, that is a big deal! She is attached to that thing.

Me:Mya, the reason I took your blanket away is because you didn't mind when I said clean up
Mya:I just want my blankie back
Me:Then you have to clean up
Mya (in tears now):Mom, don't talk to me. (then she put her hand over her heart)
Me:What are you doing Mya
Mya:(crying so hard she can barely get any words out) My heart is hurting..When you say those words to me it makes my heart hurt.

Getting ready for dinner

Me:Mya, come and eat
Mya:I'm not too sure about this
Me: About what?
Mya: My food. I'm nervous
Me: Why are you nervous?
Mya: Because looking at this food I have to eat makes me nervous, I don't think I want to try it.
Me:Well, too bad, you have to eat it
Mya:Okay, if you say so..here goes nothin

My little nephew Drey

My old camera wasn't working too well so Micah surprised me and got me an amazing new one for Christmas. I am still trying to figure it out, It is awesome! (If anyone has the Canon Rebel xsi let me know so I can take some lessons) Today we took pictures of Micah's little sister Dani's baby Drey. Dani was a trooper during her pregnancy! Little Drey did not want to come out of his mommy's belly. She was over her due date when she delivered him at a healthy 9 lb 9 oz. He was a sweetheart during his little photo shoot today. We felt pretty bad making him "pose" for us so we could get a good shot. Poor little guy was exhausted after we were done with him.

I think this one is sweet of him laying on his Dani's wedding dress but Micah doesn't agree. He doesn't think a boy should be laying on lace.

I though this was funny

So the other day Rachel posted about how she thinks she resembles a Giraffe and I told her that everyone has an animal they look like. I think Micah's is either a gorilla or a bulldog but I couldn't figure out what I looked like. I told her to be on the lookout for my animal look-alike
Rachel emailed me this today and I thought is was hilarious. I look like this little dog called a Chinese Crested. What animal do all of you resemble?

Our nameless child

The countdown has begun for our new little one to finally be here. I am sooo excited but also very nervous to take on another huge responsibility of another kid. Church with two kids is bad enough, and with three, wow, I can just imagine how much fun that will be.
One thing that we have struggled with each baby is coming up with a name. We can never agree on any names we like. So far we have come up with a couple boy names that we are both okay with. We both like Carter and Dominic. As far as little girl names go, we definitely have different tastes. I don't like anything. If Micah had his way our little girl would be named Isaiah. We kind of both like Jordan but I still haven't found the name that I love.
I really don't like picking names. What does everyone think of the boy names we have picked out? I need some more girl names too. Help!
