It finally happened

I have been waiting for this day to come for quite some time. I pretty much knew that one day Mya would cut her own hair because it seems like every kid does it. I know I did. I remember it like it was yesterday. Anyway, today was the day.

Mya was cutting paper like she always does and I went in to get Tay from his nap and the next thing I knew, she came running in in the room and her hair was cut! I was so sad :( She started crying when she saw my reaction and then came up with a brilliant idea. Her eyes lit up and she said "Mom, we can just tape it back on!" I wish it were that simple. I am going to have a fun time combing her hair and trying to make it look halfway decent. I wish hair grew back faster than it does.

Happy Birthday Tay

I can't believe our little guy is already two! We had a great day celebrating Tay's birthday with friends and family.

Here is his cake, It wasn't hard for me do decide what to make seeing as he is pretty obsessed with dinosaurs and his favorite movie is Jurassic Park. He loved it!Singing Happy Birthday and blowing out candlesHe started out eating his cake with a fork but then decided he could get more with his hands

Opening presents, he didn't get much of a chance to open them, Mya did that for him.
Harper, Taya, and Mya having some fun on the trampoline
Me and little Lexie, she is getting so big and starting to smile, it is so much fun.
We tried to get a family picture but as you can see, it didn't turn out too great. How hard is it to get kids to hold still and smile for one second.

Easter fun

For Easter this year we decided to take a trip to Lyman, I haven't been home for a long time so it was really fun to be there and see everyone. We had so much fun coloring eggs, riding rhinos, rolling eggs and just hanging out with the fam.

Ted and Tay coloring eggs. Tay was so funny, I think he colored about a dozen eggs. He did not want to wait for them to get done, he just kept putting eggs in, one after the next and sometimes he would try and put three in at one time. Ted was pretty patient with him.

Looking for eggs. I thought Mya would just fend for herself, but she was really cute and would help Tay find eggs too. When she would find one she would pick it up and try and give it to Tay. I finally had to tell her thanks for helping Tay but she could find eggs for herself too.

Tay and Ted rolling Tay's eggs.
The kids had a fun time with this sled. They would get on it at the top of the hill and slide to the bottom. Tay had a fun time but liked going with Vince better than with Micah. Micah would get going too fast and Tay would get a face full of dirt.

When it was Mya's turn to go they got going to fast and ate it. It was pretty funny. When she got up she was pretty mad and said she wasn't going to go with dad anymore because he was too fat and tipped them over

We had a lot of fun with the rhino, it was so nice to have my mom watch Lexie so that I could go on some rides.

Before we left, my dad took the kids to ride a horse and feed a calf. I love that my kids get to have so much fun and do so many different things when they go to grandma and grandpa's house

Tay feeding the horse

On the way back from riding the horse they stopped and let the kids sit on the dinosaur that is at the gas station. Tay thought it was pretty cool. He is obsessed with dinosaurs

"It's Obama"

This morning when we got up, Mya turned on the tv and the news was on. I was in the kitchen getting breakfast ready when she said

"Look mom, It's Obama"

It wasn't Obama though, it was Chris Brown. I asked her who Obama was and she said "Our president".

I don't know how her little brain remembers everything it does because the only time Obama has come up was during the election and since then we haven't said anything about him. It might not have been him but I was still impressed that she knew who Obama was.

My three little ones

I can't believe I have THREE KIDS! I ventured out the other day with all three of them and am glad to report it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. We went to WalMart and to make things easy on myself I parked by the shopping cart return thing and loaded them into the cart right from the car which made it easy to get into the store. shopping with three kids in the cart doesn't allow you to buy very much. A few gallons of milk and a couple other things and my cart was full. They were all really good for me though so that was a plus. It is funny how as new moms we are nervous to "go out" for the first time with our new little ones, haha.
here are a few recent pictures

One of the few times she is not screaming her head off while having a bath. She is not a big fan of bath time yet.

Tay went in while Micah was putting Mya to bed and climbed in with her so I decided to lay Lexie down too and get a quick picture of my little rugrats
